YOYOJAPAN Card Condition Guide

At YOYOJAPAN, we are committed to offering collectors accurate and transparent information regarding the condition of trading cards. Please review the following guide to better understand how we evaluate card conditions before they are listed for sale. All cards are inspected manually by our team and categorized based on the criteria below.

1. Mint (M)

  • Card is in virtually perfect condition.
  • No visible wear, whitening, or scratches.
  • Centering is near perfect.
  • May be unplayed or freshly pulled from a pack.

2. Near Mint (NM)

  • Card may show minor imperfections upon close inspection.
  • Slight edge wear or faint surface marks visible under light.
  • Suitable for display or competitive play.
  • Corners remain sharp, and overall eye appeal is excellent.

3. Excellent (EX)

  • Noticeable but light wear on edges or corners.
  • Minor scratches or surface marks may be present.
  • Still suitable for casual play and collection.
  • Good overall presentation, but not suitable for grading.

4. Good (GD)

  • Moderate wear such as whitening on edges, light creases, or surface wear.
  • Corners may be slightly rounded.
  • Card is intact and readable but shows signs of handling or play.

5. Played (PL)

  • Heavier signs of wear including visible creases, dents, edge damage, or surface fading.
  • Corners are visibly worn or bent.
  • Ideal for players focused on functionality rather than condition.

6. Damaged (DMG)

  • Card has significant damage such as heavy creases, tears, staining, or missing pieces.
  • Not suitable for competitive play or grading.
  • Offered at a reduced price for collectors who value rarity over condition.
